“Oh, what grievous sin it is!" is an exploration of the subtle, intricate emotions that define the experience of our interconnectedness with one another and the world around us. By juxtaposing the poignant moments of loneliness that often accompany it, the work serves as a reminder of our individual and collective journeys through life. The series of paintings tell a story of coming of age, our loss of innocence and the fleeting nature of time. It also acts as an exploration of behaviour, especially our desire to be playful and reminisce on bygone times.
